Discover a 15th century arboretum (the oldest in this part of the world), and the town of Ston, with its 5-kilometre long walls.
On this excursion you will:
- Visit traditional family house and have the welcome drink followed by the mill presentation
- Discover Ston village, which is the proud owner of 5-kilometre long walls. Ston is renowned for its delicious oysters and mussels that you can taste in one of the local restaurants. Another landmark of Ston which you will visit, is its old salt ponds where the salt is still produced today in the old way.
- Continue to the Arboretum in Trsteno with a 15th century summer residence of the Dubrovnik patrician family Gucetić-Gozze surrounded by a beautiful Renaissance garden.
- Enjoy the view from its pavilion over the islands or take a walk to the baroque Neptune’s fountain immersed in the luxuriant subtropical vegetation of magnolia, black bamboo, laurel, eucalyptus, palm and camphor trees. Trsteno is also famous for its two gigantic 500-year old plane trees.
