During the Island Walkabout tour, we will spend the day hiking to some of the most interesting area of the Elaphiti Islands which offer a diverse array of hiking possibilities — from long and steep to flat and short — depending on the group’s preference.

Tour begins with a pickup in front of hotel. After short drive to Gruž harbor we’ll board the ferry for the island of Koločep. On Koločep, we will make a two-hour hiking circle through centuries-old pine forests, hidden gardens, and along single-track paths overlooking the sea from the island’s steep limestone cliffs.

After lunch in a local restaurant, the group will take a ferry to the slightly larger island of Lopud, where we will take another light trek. After 30 minutes, we’ll reach Fort Kaštio: the highlight of the hike with views to Dubrovnik, island of Mljet, Pelješac Peninsula, and Korčula. After, we’ll descend through local vineyards to the old church and cemetery of Lady of Šunj which has great historical significance. From there it’s just a short hike to Lopud’s most famous sandy beach where you can go for a quick dip or quick drink- depending on your preference. The day ends in the late afternoon with a ferry back and transfer to hotel.

What to bring: drinking water, light hiking shoes (or sport tennis shoes), small backpack with spare warm clothes and sun block if it is sunny. Other than that you’ll need some cash for lunch.
